Some of the highlights of what I learned at the Autismone/Generation Rescue Conference in Chicago last month:
Did you know that if your child has has more than two ear infections he should be tested for vision processing and auditory processing?
A great website to train your brain is lumosity.com An app is also available for the Iphone.
Do you know that I met a lady whose child received a tetanus shot at age 12 and now can no longer speak.
Did you know that in the majority of states in the US, the air has mercury in it? Mid America appears to have escaped this.
Did you know that glutathione in our cells remove mercury?
Did you know that there was a 12yo girl who was a straight A student and a cheerleader who received the
HPV vaccine in October who is now no longer breathing on her own and has to be fed by a feeding tube? The night of the injection she could feel her brain burning up.
The puzzle of what has happened to our kids is very overwhelming. After being on this journey for the last three years (7 years if you include the ADHD label), when my daughter received the SPD diagnosis among the many other labels she received, I would recommend the following three books to read: "The Sensory Team Handbook"," Disconnected Kids" and "Seeing Through New Eyes."
Our kids need to be treated by a Dr. who practices integrative medicine or functional medicine. One Dr. who practices Functional Medicine says if a child is a picky eater their sense of smell is compromised. He also said schizophrenia is untreated autism. Our local DAN Dr. says all our children suffer from dysbiosis. We as their parents need to heal their guts as well as their brains. Thankfully our brains are neuroplastic and we can continue to make more neurotransmitters. The future of autism spectrum treatment is Hemispheric Integration Training. We can do alot of these excercises at home. Go to brainadvance.org for amazing testimonials! Go also to activehealing.org. Doing the army crawl, creeping and summersalts will help balance our kids brain.
Let us all continue to learn from each other.
Till next time.
